I congratulate The Post and Courier staff for achieving the prestigious Award for Excellence, given by the Society for News Design, for last year’s revamp of the Wednesday Food Section.

It’s no small feat to be selected from nearly 10,000 entries and share top honors with such dailies as the San Francisco Chronicle and Boston Globe.

Since redesigning the food section, and certainly since introducing food editor Hanna Raskin, the content of the Wednesday section has become increasingly engaging, diverse and educational. The award is well-deserved, and your readers appreciate the work your editors and contributors continue to publish.
