The Rev. Joe Darby’s commentary on the history of school choice, and its impact on students with the greatest education and societal challenges who are left behind, calls for the Charleston County School Board to review the makeup of all Charleston schools and to see to it that every public school enjoys equity in funding, staffing, support services and course offerings.
The Post and Courier could do a public service by comparing the schools for public review.
However, that there is no positive academic peer support in many schools may be the major contributing cause when factored into any comparison of schools.
