We dined at Barony Tavern on May 21 and had a wonderful dinner and pleasant experience.
Imagine my surprise to read The Post and Courier’s scathing review by Hanna Raskin.
We had the tomato and crab bisque, rack of lamb and rib-eye, all that Raskin found distasteful and unappealing. Only the farro salad was to her liking.
She also found the decor clashed with the menu. What does she expect at a tavern, a “foodie“ restaurant?
It was nice to be able to eat American Southern food rather than being in a restaurant where one needs a dictionary to decipher the menu.
We have recommended Barony Tavern to all our friends and will eat there regularly.
