The Feb. 22 editorial titled “Mt. Pleasant growth choices” cautions that backing away from the revitalization blueprint would leave the town with just “one badly planned apartment complex in The Boulevard sticking out like a sore thumb.” The editorial further states that “ill-advised design choices make its structures imposing and off-putting, … and without any nearby buildings of similar scale, it looks woefully out of place.”

Please clarify you are not proposing that additional nearby buildings of similar ill-design, imposing structure and height, are needed to mask this monstrosity that scars Coleman Boulevard.

Your editorial leaves me wondering if you will soon propose a twin tower near the Sergeant Jasper building in Charleston so it also will not continue to look woefully out of place.
