There are some faculty members at the College of Charleston who are wishing and hoping that they will be consulted in the decision-making process of appointments to President Glenn McConnell’s senior staff.
In vogue, however, are the faculty’s no-confidence votes in other academic matters. There should be more top-down key personnel decisions, and less of the so-called meaningful faculty input. Faculty should teach and administrators administer.
