I am outraged by President Obama’s failure to immediately order U.S. flags to be flown at half mast in honor of our five fallen service members recently in Chattanooga, Tenn. He has been quick to react in doing so for civilians and was quick to call for the removal of the Confederate flag. He has failed in his duty as commander in chief.
The lowering of the flag should have been done immediately. I could find no condolence message on the president’s Facebook page for our service members, although he did post about Pluto.
Having served for 26 years in the Air Force, I find the president’s failure to act quickly a slap in the face to the military.
