Happy Thanksgiving North Augusta! The North Augusta Parks, Recreation, & Tourism staff would like to express our thanks for the opportunity to serve each of you throughout the year. Your passion for our facilities and programs motivates us to give our best. We are thankful for the support of our Mayor, City Council, and City Administration who provide us with the resources we need to continue to strive for the next level of service. We are thankful for our volunteer groups like Friends of the Greeneway who are always working behind the scenes to help add new amenities to the Greeneway. We are thankful for our North Augusta Cultural Arts Council who provide us with Music in the Park at Maude Edenfield Park during the spring and summer months. We are thankful for The Recing Crew who offer leisure and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

We are thankful for our volunteer Recreation Advisory Board members, Joe Bickley, Henry Jones, Mark Hooks, Nan Burns, and Tom Dunaway, who give us guidance and feedback throughout the year. We are thankful for all of our sponsors who make so many of our athletic programs and special events affordable for you, our customers. We are thankful to all of our volunteer coaches who take out of their time to work with our young people creating memories and making a difference in their lives. I am thankful for all of our employees who understand that best is the standard in providing quality of life to the City of North Augusta residents.

Reminder that the City of North Augusta’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony happens on Tuesday, November 30, 5:00pm-6:30pm at Calhoun Park and Lookaway Hall. We officially kick off the Christmas season in North Augusta with Mayor Williams pulling the switch at approximately 6:10pm to light up all the Christmas decorations in the parks and downtown streets of North Augusta. The North Augusta Lions Club Christmas Parade takes place on Sunday, December 5 at 3pm in downtown North Augusta on Georgia Avenue.
