The sisters of Xi Beta Gamma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority have been diligently planning for the annual North Augusta Christmas Tour of Homes.
A historic home and other beautiful homes on a golf course, on the riverfront, and through popular neighborhoods will be featured on this 33rd annual Christmas Tour of Homes.
Recently, the homeowners joined the sorority sister head hostesses for a preview of this year’s tour events.
The tour begins with a candlelight tour on Friday, Dec. 3, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and continues Saturday, Dec. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The tour includes stops in The River Club, Campbelltown Landing, The Colony and Woodstone, as well as the historic Charles Hammond House on Martintown Road and The Arts and Heritage Center.
The North Augusta Beta Sigma Phi chapter agreed in 1988 that the Christmas Tour of Homes event would be not only a profitable fundraiser for North Augusta High School student scholarships but also an enjoyable occasion for the community and out-of-town visitors.
Beta Sigma Phi uses most of the proceeds from the Tour of Homes to fund scholarships to North Augusta students with the balance going to North Augusta nonprofit organizations. Since beginning the tour, Xi Beta Gamma has given approximately $189,000 to high school graduates to further their education.
The Xi Beta Gamma Chapter invites the public to attend a fun-filled weekend with the North Augusta Christmas Tour of Homes. Tour tickets go on sale Nov. 1.
Tickets may be purchased at Arts and Heritage Center, Jim Bush Flowers and Gifts, CommuniGraphics, and Parks Pharmacy in North Augusta, Consign Design in Martinez, and Plum Pudding in Aiken. Tickets purchased in advance are $20. Tickets may be purchased on tour days for $25 at any tour stop.
