North Augusta High School hosts NHS induction

With focuses on academics and leadership, North Augusta High School inducted students into the National Honor Society.

The nationally recognized academic club prioritizes a variety of achievements and held an induction ceremony with a candle lighting for 15 students on April 26.

Junior and sophomore students were read the National Honor Society principles of scholarship, character, service and leadership before taking a pledge to join the club.

“The individuals recognized here tonight participate and hold leadership positions in many activities in school and in our community,” NHS President Blake Juinnies said. “They engage in many hours of service to the school and our community and they hold high standards of personal integrity.”

North Augusta High School Assistant Principal David Harris was proud of the students academic and leadership successes.

“Thank you so much for letting us be a small part of your students' lives, a small part of their journey,” Harris said. “...I know that as you go out into the community and as you go out into other communities as you graduate and move on, whether it be this community or a community far away, you are going to make an impact. You are destined for great things and I am proud of each and everyone of you.”

Students inducted include: Cara Alan, Blakely Holton, Jessica Lawson, Kennth Middlebrooks Jr., Davis Neal, Catherine Newman, Andrew Pond, Parker Pugh, Lauren Bell, Grayson Fluery, Genelle Jackson, Lauren Lusk, Matthew Lyon, William Seigler and Evan Waldhauer.
