Chick-fil-A awards scholarships at North Augusta location

Several Chick-fii-A employees at the North Augusta location received college scholarship.

The scholarship program allows employees to apply for leadership scholarships by writing essays and showcasing their community involvement. The North Augusta Chick-fil-A awarded $20,000 in scholarships to 11 recipients.

“I think that it is really great that we are able to work here and get scholarships for school even though the two might not coincide sometimes. Those who are in school really appreciate the opportunity to be able to earn some scholarship," said Ashlyn Dawkins.

Dawkins, a four time recipient of the scholarship and front of house training director at the Knox Avenue location, is happy to use the money to continue her education at USC Aiken. She will be graduating from USCA this May.

“It helps me get most of my tuition so that I don’t have to take out a loan or anything because I don’t want to be in debt at the end of my schooling,” she said.

Other scholarship winners include: Katelyn Dawkins, Jordan Williams, Kara Blackwell, Samone Stevens, Sheri Norris, Dalton Sanders, Blake Logue, Lucia Solano and LaDavia Williams.
