"Glory, Glory" to Georgia Bulldog fans: National Champion Adonai Mitchell makes his way to SRP Park.
The Augusta GreenJackets are hosting Red and Black College Night on July 14.
Mitchell, a freshman standout wide receiver on the national championship team under head coach Kirby Smart, will throw out the first pitch and meet with fans.
During the national championship game against SEC rival Alabama, Mitchell caught a 40-yard "go-ahead" touchdown in the fourth quarter. He completed the 2021 season with 29 passes, four touchdowns and 12 starts between the hedges.
“We look forward to seeing a wave of Red and Black at SRP Park for this special appearance on July 14,” GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger said. “Our marketing department has been busy building upon one of our best promotional calendars we’ve ever had, and having the opportunity to host National Champion Adonai Mitchell will only add to the fun we have in store for Red and Black College Night at SRP Park.”
In addition to throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, Mitchell will have a meet and greet session from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. A special VIP pregame meet and greet package is available with limited tickets.
