A U.S. District Court Judge sentenced a 31-year-old North Charleston man convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm to 10 years in prison and three years of supervised release.
North Charleston police arrested Fred Alashawn Frasier in 2008 after conducting surveillance on Islesworth Way. The officers noticed two masked people inside an idling 1994 Plymouth Acclaim, which sped off once the officers drove around to take a closer look.
The driver lost control and ran off the road. Police subdued Frasier with a stun gun and arrested him, recovering four guns — on Frasier, in his car and in the nearby woods.
