NORTH CHARLESTON — Firefighters in North Charleston battled three home fires on Thanksgiving Day.

Most significantly, a mobile home in the park at 9494 Highway 78 received significant damage and left two people homeless. Officials said no one was injured and that the blaze remains under investigation.

Another home in the 7900 block of Warsaw Street received siding damage after a resident accidentally set a fire while frying a turkey. Officials said no one was injured in that incident.

Firefighters also handled a burning pot that caused minor smoke damage to a home in the 6100 block of Rivers Avenue.
