Wondering about our name? NOLO is short for “North in the Lowcountry.” This full color, glossy magazine is devoted to everything we love about our corner of South Carolina, covering North Charleston, Goose Creek, Hanahan and Summerville. Meet the characters, visit the places and read the stories that make our home one of the finest and fastest growing areas in South Carolina.
What makes NOLO unique? This area is growing at such a fast pace; it deserves some special attention! Construction of businesses, new employers, residential homes growth…..plus quaint niches with fabulous shops and restaurants, together with rich history and influential people means there’s a lot to talk about! We want to share those stories with readers whose families have been here forever as well a many newcomers.
We’re fortunate to have Judy Watts working as our contributing editor for NOLO. Judi is a familiar face in the Summerville area, having served as Executive Editor of The Journal Scene, The Gazette and The Berkeley Independent, community newspapers of Evening Post Industries. She has a never-ending supply of story ideas to make every issue of NOLO a great read. NOLO’s distribution reaches high income households of $100,000 or more. For advertisers, that means you’re reaching an audience with significant disposable income. Copies are direct mailed and/or delivered to these households. You’ll also see NOLO in the racks at community locations, CVS stores and more.
Please join us in making NOLO the magazine for those communities North in the Lowcountry. We’re eager to tell your stories and share the good news about living and working here. And if you’ve got a story idea, please share it with us at firstname.lastname@example.org; we’d love to hear from you!
