Charleston police are searching for two suspects after a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Daniel Island, police Cpl. Fred Bowie said.

The assault happened about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on Jack Primus Road, police said.

The girl told officers that two men attacked her as she walked out of her home to get her earphones from a vehicle in the parking lot.

The two men grabbed the girl, pulled her into a nearby dog park and assaulted her, Bowie said.

The girl described one of the suspects as a black man, average build and between 20 and 30 years old, Bowie said. She could only describe the second man as being shorter and thinner than the other suspect, he said.

The two men were last seen running toward the apartment complex’s exit and down Jack Primus Road, Bowie said.

Anyone with information on the suspects can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
