Wood chips blanketed a road west of Moncks Corner after a tractor-trailer crashed this morning, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported at 9:34 a.m. on Cooper Store Road about 5 miles from S.C. Highway 6, Cpl. Bob Bere said.

Details about the wreck, such as injuries or how many vehicles were involved, could not be immediately confirmed, Beres said.

“But there definitely are wood chips all over the roadway,” Beres said.
