Charleston police are asking the public for help in locating a 27-year-old Johns Island woman accused of stealing a construction trailer from Habitat for Humanity.
Arrest warrants have been signed charging Bridgette Antoni Polensky of Old Pond Road with property crime enhancement/larceny and obtaining goods by false pretenses, according to a wanted bulletin released Friday by the Charleston Police Department.
Polensky is accused of stealing a construction trailer from a Genesis Street address sometime between Aug. 14 and Aug. 16. The trailer is owned by Habitat for Humanity and was parked at a construction site. Investigators later found the trailer at a pawnshop on Savannah Highway and traced the trailer to the suspect, police said.
Polensky is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 136 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, the bulletin said. She also stays at 3218 Fickling Hill Road on Johns Island and 2215 Hayne St., Lot 96, in North Charleston.
