Maxime Lacroix had two goals and Keith Johnson had a goal and an assist to lead South Carolina past Charlotte, 4-2, in Game 3 of its South Division semifinal series Tuesday night at the North Charleston Coliseum.
The Checkers lead the best-of-seven series, 2-1, going into Game 4 Thursday night.
The Stingrays trailed 2-0 at the end of the first period after goals by Ethan Graham and Matt Schepke.
But the Stingrays rallied for four straight goals, including two in the first two minutes of the second period.
Johnson got the game winner four minutes into the third period off a wicked slap shot and Lacroix added the final goal of the night.
