Three Oklahoma men were beaten and robbed of cell phones, wallets and cash outside a North Charleston motel Wednesday night, according to a police incident report.

About 9:50 p.m., police were called to Value Place motel at 7477 Northside Drive for a reported armed robbery. The victims said they were hanging around in the rear of the motel when they were approached by two men, one armed with a handgun. The gunman pistol-whipped the victims and took their wallets, phones and money and ran into a nearby woods, the report said.

The suspects were described as black males, 18 to 21 years old. One was 6 feet 1 inch tall, 135 pounds. The other was 5 feet 8 inches tall, 145 pounds. They were wearing black shirts and dark shorts. One man had one short twist in his hair.
