Ravenel -- A tip led to the arrest early Thursday of a man being sought in connection with a carjacking at a mobile home park, authorities said.
Latrone Terrell Butler, 27, of Savannah Highway, is charged with failure to stop for blue lights, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, kidnapping, attempted murder and carjacking. He was being held in the Charleston County jail pending a bond hearings, according to the Sheriff's Office.
About 1:10 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a nightclub on Scott White Road for a report that Butler, who had eluded arrest for several days, was at the club. The neighborhood tipster said the suspect was there with an Acura that had been taken during a carjacking at Jericho Mobile Home Park on Monday.
Also, deputies had arrest warrants for Butler in connection with a Dec. 1 pursuit on Savannah Highway in Ravenel involving a stolen black Ford Explorer.
Deputies found the Acura parked outside the club and took Butler into custody as he was leaving the premises.
At a bond hearing Thursday for the possession of a stolen motor vehicle and failure to stop for blue light charges, bail was set at $10,000 for each charge. A second bond hearing was scheduled on the charges of carjacking, kidnapping, and attempted murder.
