Charleston police are investigating two shootings that took place Saturday on Romney Street, according to police reports.

About 5 p.m., police were called to 119 Romney St. for a report of a 15-year-old boy having been shot. Officers found the boy lying on the sidewalk. He was transported to Medical University Hospital. The report did not provide any more details. The victim was in stable condition at the hospital, said Charles Francis, police public information officer.

In the second incident, a resident of Bridgeview Apartments at 116 Romney St. reported hearing four shots fired about 6:20 p.m.

Officers found two bullet holes in the woman's bedroom wall and two bullet holes in the ceiling above the bed, according to an incident report.

Officers searched a nearby cemetery for spent cartridges but were unable to find any, the report said.
