The 14-year-old male who was arrested June 16 in connection to a Johns Island shooting is still in detention after a bond hearing in family court Monday morning, said Charleston County Chief Deputy Guy Van Horn.

The suspect, whose name was withheld because he is a juvenile, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree burglary.

Clifford Wright said he was awakened by his daughter around 2:30 a.m. after she heard a noise outside her window. Unable to see through the foggy window, he banged on the glass to scare away what he thought was an animal.

Before he could bang on the window again, Wright said he saw a gun fire and felt a bullet go through his arm.

A date has not yet been set for the juvenile's next hearing.
