SUMMERVILLE — Summerville police are looking for an armed robbery suspect who wears a distinctive black sweatshirt with a white design.

Authorities say the man is responsible for five robberies that occurred in the Bacons Bridge Road area between 7:30 and 10 p.m.

The string of robberies began in March.

The robber is described as black, between 20 and 25 years old, 6 feet tall and between about 180 to 200 pounds.

In each robbery, he used a silver-toned handgun and demanded money, said police Capt. Jon Rogers.

One robbery occurred on March 2 at a residence in Marlin Estates.

The other four robberies occurred at businesses on Bacons Bridge Road: Advance Auto Parts on March 10; Blockbuster Video on March 30 and on May 9; and Piggly Wiggly on Wednesday.
