Two Summerville schools are no longer locked down after police investigated a reported break-in nearby.

At around noon today, Summerville police asked that Summerville High and Gregg Middle schools go into a precautionary lockdown while they investigated the possible break-in report at Somerset Apartments, Dorchester District 2 officials stated in a release.

About twenty minutes later, police declared it was safe to lift the lock-down and both schools resumed their normal schedule.
