Home School History Day: Nature Art

What: Become inspired by the collection of the museum to create your own work of art. Learn from an artist the basics of drawing before heading into the galleries for sketch time. Art supplies will be available.

When: 10-11 a.m. Sept. 13.

Art for home schoolers

What: All mediums, drawing and painting will be covered. Classes are ongoing and month to month.

Aerial Kids Series

What: Kids will spin, swing, climb and hang upside down on low-hanging aerial hammocks. This class is an introduction to aerial circus arts. Classes are offered in two age groups.

When: 5 p.m. for ages 7-11; 6 p.m. for ages 12-15. Sept. 13, 20, 27, Oct. 4.

Sketchbook Collage

Spanish for toddlers

Little Mozart Circus

What: The 2011 Mozart In the South Festival continues with the Little Mozart Circus. This free, family outdoor event on Marion Square presents a variety of performances. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about music-based educational opportunities in Charleston.
