Music Matters!

What: This concert series will showcase local, advanced high school musicians playing classical pieces for cello, violin and harp, including works by Bach, Barber, Saint-Saens, Wieniawski, Vieuxtemps and Villa-Lobos. This advocacy project is run by local 11th-grade Girl Scout Abby Kent to raise community awareness to support live music and the local programs that make this possible. Refreshments will be served. Insect Displays

What: Learn how to preserve insects by pinning and placing them safely in display boxes at the program Pinning Insects With Artist Becca Barnet. Students will leave with a beetle of their own.
