A North Charleston man is wanted on an attempted murder charge for his involvement in a July shootout on Ladson Road, authorities said.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for Montre Desean Brown, 19, of 2943 Alabama Drive.
Brown also was shot in the July 30 incident, according to a Wednesday news release from the Sheriff's Office.
The shootings happened in the afternoon, when three men armed with handguns began firing at the driver of a minivan who had stopped in the median on Ladson Road. The driver returned fire with a handgun, then drove off.
One of the men firing at the minivan was hit twice in the leg and was taken to the hospital. The other two ran from the scene.
A Sheriff's Office spokesman was unavailable late Wednesday to clarify how many of the gunmen were injured and whether any arrests had been made.
Also during the shootings, the passenger window was shot out of a passing car caught in the crossfire, pelting the 76-year-old female driver with glass shards. Another round was embedded in her car.
Brown should be considered armed and dangerous, according the Sheriff's Office.
