Sex offender sought in burglary
Charleston police are looking for a registered sex offender who is wanted in connection with a March burglary.
Kason Blease Carter is charged with first-degree burglary after Charleston police investigators say he entered a Whispering Marsh Drive home on March 14 and stole several items.
Carter, 34, of North Charleston is a registered sex offender out of Berkeley County, according to Charles Francis, public information officer.
A police report states someone entered the home through the garage and took two video game consoles, about 75 video games and four crystal glasses worth $200.
The report states officers had been called to the same neighborhood that night in response to a call that two men wearing hooded sweatshirts were checking cars for unlocked doors.
Officers did not find the suspects but did notice the garage doors and garage lights at the house were on.
