COLUMBIA -- Authorities say a Lexington woman has been charged with impersonating a registered nurse and illegally treating patients at several medical facilities.
The State Law Enforcement Division said 36-year-old Angela Gray-Jackson turned herself in Thursday. Gray-Jackson is charged with four counts of unlicensed practice as a registered nurse or practical nurse. Police say she posed as a nurse at three different places in Richland County in April 2010, but did not say what kind of treatment Gray-Jackson administered.
Police also say Gray-Jackson, who is white, used a black nurse's license to enter and work in the facilities.
It was not immediately clear if Gray-Jackson had an attorney. She was not listed in the Richland County jail, and no phone listing for her could be found.
