Registration is open for the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office’s Summer Deputy Camp.

The camp will run from July 15-19 and is open to children 8-12, according to a news release.

Participation is limited to the first 50 students who return a completed parental consent and registration form and a check or money order for $75 made payable to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit, the release said.

Children will start each day with the Pledge of Allegiance and a topic of discussion. Activities include a hands-on forensics program, a Department of Natural Resources hunting and fishing simulator, special response team and K-9 demonstrations, basic first aid, fire department demonstrations and field trips to Music “N” Motion and Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Water Park, the release said.
