North Charleston police say the victim in a Thursday shooting was uncooperative with authorities afterward.
Shortly after 9 a.m., officers responded to 2885 Alabama Drive and located the victim, Rodriquez Washington, whose age was not available. He told police that he was sitting in his vehicle outside of the residence when a white car pulled up and someone fired several shots.
Multiple bullets hit the door panel of his car and one bullet struck him in a leg.
"Washington was not cooperative with police and could not give police any further description of the incident or possible suspects," police spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
Washington was transported to the Medical University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Pryor said.
The Memminger School of Global Studies, on Leeds Avenue, was on lockdown for a while during the incident, officials said.
