Police seize 132 grams

Charleston police perform a drug search Thursday outside Urban Unlimited.

Two men are accused of selling more than just clothes from a downtown store.

Charleston police seized 132 grams of marijuana, or 4.6 ounces, from Urban Unlimited, at 98 Spring St., in a search Thursday, according to a Charleston Police Department incident report.

The store’s owner Bryant Smith, 27, from Greenpark Avenue, and Seth Smith, 31, of Oliver Court ,were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, the report said.

Seth Smith is listed in the incident report as the owner of a West Ashley branch of the store.

Detectives found drugs throughout the downtown store’s front and a storage room, according to the report. Almost $600 and 7.5 grams of marijuana were found in Seth Smith’s pockets, police said.

Investigators conducted another search at what police said was Seth Smith’s apartment. Smith denied living there, but a pair of keys found at the store were used unlock the apartment door, police said.

As a result of that search, Seth Smith was also charged with possession of a stolen handgun, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and an additional count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, police said.
