Police seek robbery suspect

Charleston police released a bank surveillance photo of a man suspected of robbing a bank branch office Thursday on Savannah Highway.

About 3:45 p.m., a man walked into the First Federal branch office at 855 Savannah Highway and handed a teller a note demanding money, said Charles Francis, police public information officer.

The man did not display a weapon, Francis said. There were three customers in the bank. No one was injured.

The suspect was described as a white man, about 6 feet, 1 inch tall, with dirty blond hair. He was wearing sunglasses and an oversized coat or blazer, Francis said.
