Police are looking for two men who robbed a North Charleston bank Wednesday.

Police say the robbery happened about 11:15 a.m. at the Regions Bank at 2210 Ashley Phosphate Road.

Spencer Pryor, North Charleston police public information officer, said at least one of the men had a gun. He said one suspect showed the gun while the other man jumped over the counter and took an undetermined amount of cash. The men ran from the scene in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a heavy-set black male wearing a black T-shirt. The second suspect is described as a thin black male with a muscular build wearing a white T-shirt. Pryor said the men wore red bandannas covering both their heads and mouths.

Police do not believe Wednesday's robbery is related to recent robberies in either North Charleston or West Ashley.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Charleston police at 554-5700 or to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
