Charleston police are asking for help in identifying a man who robbed a James Island pharmacy Wednesday. About 6:25 p.m., a man walked into the CVS Pharmacy at Maybank Highway and Folly Road and handed the pharmacist a note saying he was armed with a handgun, police public information officer Charles Francis said. The robber demanded OxyContin and oxycodone and left the store with a quantity of the drugs, Francis said. Police were looking into the possibility that the same person robbed a CVS Pharmacy on Harborview Road on Friday, Francis said. In that robbery, the bandit also demanded OxyContin. Anyone with information about either crime should call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
