Walterboro investigators are trying to find a robber who used a handgun to steal a shopping cart “full of money” from Walmart employees, a police report says.

The robbery was reported about 12:27 a.m. Friday inside the store at 2110 Bells Highway, according to the incident report from Walterboro Public Safety.

Two employees were wheeling the cart around the store, collecting cash from the register when a man pointed a gun at them. Without saying anything, the man pointed the gun at their faces, then at the cart, which was covered by wooden panels.

The workers at the Walmart Supercenter let go of the cart, which the robber then wheeled out of the grocery section of the store.

No suspect has been identified, according to the report. No one was hurt.

It’s not known how much cash was taken.
