North Charleston police arrested a 14-year-old boy accused of snatching a man's wallet in the parking lot of a Dorchester Road pharmacy.
The victim told an officer that he was walking out of the CVS at 4400 Dorchester Road when a man in a black, hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants came from behind and took his wallet around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A witness said he saw the suspect in the area of Orchid Avenue and Spurr Street.
Officers were searching the area when they heard a rustling noise inside some brush. They found the suspect trying to hide himself, according to an incident report.
The boy was charged with purse-snatching and taken to the Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center.
