Jackie Chan says he is landing his last punch.
The Hong Kong actor told the AP on Friday that his latest film “Chinese Zodiac” will be his last action movie.
Chan, launching the film in Cannes with co-stars Kwone Sang Woo, Yao Xingtong and Liao Fan, said that people never believe him when he says he is going to retire.
The 58-year-old says he is bowing out with “Chinese Zodiac” because it’s one of the “most important” films in his career.
Chan wrote, produced, directed and coordinated fights scenes for the film — in which his character searches for the 12 bronze heads of the Chinese zodiac.
Chan promised that he’ll continue to make films, but with more acting than action, citing Robert DeNiro and Clint Eastwood his role models.
Doug Dillard, an influential banjo player who helped shape rock `n’ roll and introduce the nation to bluegrass music during a popular run on “The Andy Griffith Show,” died Wednesday in Nashville. He was 75.
Lynne Robin Green, president of Dillard’s publishing company, said he died due to a lung infection.
Dillard, a founding member of family band The Dillards out of Salem, Mo., was influential in several ways. Dillard, his brother Rodney and two band mates moved west in 1962, rather than taking the usual route to Nashville.
Dillard helped introduce bluegrass to TV viewers as a member of the unusual family band “The Darlings,” who made multiple appearances on “The Andy Griffith Show” in the mid-1960s. He split with the band in the late `60s and eventually began a solo career.
A man charged with stalking Mila Kunis pleaded not guilty Friday to two felony charges and was denied a request to leave jail without having to post bail.
Stuart Lynn Dunn hung his head so he could not be seen or filmed throughout most of his arraignment hearing.
Dunn, 27, was charged Thursday with stalking the “Black Swan” and “That `70s Show” actress and violating a restraining order that was issued in February after he was arrested for breaking into a vacant condo owned by Kunis. He was arrested earlier this month outside Kunis’ gym.
