CLINTON — Clinton police said they have fired two officers for their actions while helping paramedics treat a 59-year-old woman who became violent during her treatment.
Authorities told WYFF-TV that the officers saw the woman hit her brother and paramedics several times March 21.
Police said an officer then tried to hold her down and shocked her with a Taser when she tried to bite him.
Authorities said the woman was shocked again when she clawed an officer.
Police did not release the names of the officers but said they were fired Wednesday for how they handled the situation.
The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating.
