The 11 Occupy Charleston protesters who were arrested for refusing to leave Marion Square at night are scheduled for a hearing Tuesday.

The hearing will be at 8 a.m. at the Charleston Municipal Court at Lockwood Boulevard, said William Hamilton, an attorney and Occupy supporter.

After the hearing, a group called Petigru Free Speech Defense will read a statement and answer questions from the media on the steps of the courthouse, Hamilton said.

The demonstrators were arrested about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday after they were told they couldn't spend the night in the park.

They were released before the hearing.
