A 24-year-old North Charleston woman told police her purse was stolen from her front seat Wednesday while she was inside a gas station paying for gasoline.

About 5:15 p.m., the woman pumped gas at the Sunoco gas station at 1628 Remount Road and went inside to pay, according to a police report. She had left a window down, and when she returned to her car, the purse was missing, the report said. The purse contained a two wallets, $10 in cash, $5 in Spanish coins, a Mexican passport and ID card, and other records.

According to the report, a store employee said no one was available with the authority to assist police in viewing the store's security video footage.
