An 18-year-old who was shot in the neck Monday night will go to jail as soon he's released from the hospital, authorities said Tuesday.
North Charleston police Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor said Lawrence Leonard Lee was shot at 9:36 p.m. in front of 1929 Baxter St., then dragged into a car.
No one has been charged in the shooting.
Witnesses told police that Lee was one of two men who exited a reddish, four-door sedan with a black top and black stripes.
The two men walked to the side of the house, and within moments at least one shot was fired. Witnesses told police they saw the other man dragging Lee back to the car, according to an incident report.
An officer found a silver-colored handgun, a cell phone and a scale lying on the ground near where the shooting occurred.
Lee, the driver and vehicle later turned up at Medical University Hospital.
Lee, who lives on Osceola Avenue, was wanted by North Charleston police on a charge of pointing and presenting a firearm at his uncle dating back to a September incident.
Pryor said Lee will be served with a warrant as soon as he is released from the hospital.
