A woman stabbed a man inside a West Ashley apartment late Tuesday, but no arrests had been made, a police spokesman said this morning.

The incident happened about 11 p.m. at the Georgetown Apartments at 1476 Orange Grove Road, according to Charles Francis, spokesman for the Charleston Police Department.

An altercation led to the stabbing, and the man knew his attacker, Francis said.

The man’s shoulder wound was not considered life-threatening.

No further information about the incident was available.
