The Charleston Police Department is reported a second wreck today that has the northbound lanes of traffic on the Ravenel Bridge closed.
Officers and EMS are responding now to the four-vehicle crash that was reported just before 5 p.m. No one has been taken to any hospitals yet, according to a Tweet from the department.
The earlier wreck involved a three-car hit-and-run that occurred just after 2:10 p.m.
According to Charleston Police Department spokesman Charles Francis, one person was taken to East Cooper Hospital and another was taken to Medical University Hospital stemming from the three-car hit-and-run.
No other details have been released on either crash.
