CINCINNATI -- The South Carolina Stingrays wrapped up a three-game road trip Saturday night, but dropped a 3-2 decision to the Cincinnati Cyclones.

The Stingrays (27-19-1-1) scored at 14:37 of the opening period on a power-play goal from Mike Hamilton, who tapped a pass from Maxime Lacroix past goaltender Brad Fogal (25 saves on 27 shots). Johann Kroll also assisted.

The Cyclones (21-14-0-6) tied it less than a minute later, though, when Dan Eves scored a shorthanded goal.

With 28 seconds to play in the period, the Cyclones' Maury Edwards made it 2-1 on the man advantage, scoring between the legs of Philipp Grubauer (14 saves on 17 shots).

The Stingrays tied it at the 12-minute mark of the second period when David de Kastrozza scored on assists from Matt Scherer and Kroll.

The Cyclones' Mathieu Aubin netted the game-winning goal at 13:46 of the final period from Jonathan Hazen and Michael Pelech.

The Stingrays finished 1 for 7 on the power play while the Cyclones went 1 for 2.

The Stingrays return home for a 7 p.m. game Tuesday against the Greenville Road Warriors, with two tickets for the price of one.
