A 288-foot yacht owned by Sears SEO Eddie Lampert - not billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban - was turning heads of motorists Friday on the James Island connector. 

The Fountainhead was moored at Charleston City Marina.

According to, Lampert, the chairman and CEO of Sears Holdings, owns the yacht.

Lampert has been known to tell people that Cuban owns it.

Social media posts by Cuban indicate he was in the Dallas area Friday night. Cuban is the owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and a star of Shark Tank.

"I don’t own a yacht. Never have . . . The guy who owns the boat tells EVERYONE that it’s mine,” Cuban told The New York Post’s Page Six via email.

Cuban also has told the Boston Business Journal that he doesn't own the yacht, but has been seen on it before.

The Fountainhead was docked in Boston last week.
