Charleston Police investigate an attempted suicide at an Ann Street parking garage Tuesday.

A man survived after jumping from the top of a downtown parking garage in an apparent suicide attempt Tuesday, police said.

Authorities responded to the parking garage at 24 Ann St. about 11:45 a.m. and found the man lying by the fountain, according to police spokesman Charles Francis.
