Man sought in robbery

Robbery suspect

Charleston police are looking for a man who on Feb. 28 robbed the CVS pharmacy on Sycamore Avenue in West Ashley.

About 6 p.m., the robber lifted his shirt, revealed a pistol to the clerk, demanded money and told him not to make a scene, a police report said. It said the clerk had to serve another customer to get the register open, then gave the robber the money, which was about $80.

The holdup man was described as black, in his late 20s or early 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds. He wore dark pants, a black, long-sleeved shirt and a black wool hat.
