WALTERBORO -- Colleton County sheriff's deputies say a man was shot in the hand, arm and leg Thursday night during an argument.
The victim and multiple witnesses told deputies that he was shot by the brother of his child's mother during an argument inside the home at 339 Wasson Lane about 6:12 p.m., according to an incident report released Friday.
Andrew Christopher Jenkins Jr., 26, of that address, was struck by bullets in his left hand, right arm and left femur.
He was taken to the Medical University Hospital.
Jenkins told investigators he was arguing with the suspect's sister when he raised his hand toward the woman. It was at that point that the woman's brother, 20-year-old John Brown, shot Jenkins, according to the report.
The suspect ran from the house, the report said. A Sheriff's Office spokesman said no charges have been filed at this point.
