Future still looks murky for Intracoastal Waterway

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The identity of a man who was killed in a mo-ped wreck was released Tuesday.

Thomas Reynolds, 57, of Mount Pleasant died of head trauma, Charleston County Deputy Coroner Judy Koelpin said.

A mo-ped Reynolds was driving went off the road and struck a concrete utility pole on Rifle Range Road near the new Whitesides Elementary School about 3:40 p.m. Monday, authorities said.

The cause of the single-vehicle wreck is still under investigation by Mount Pleasant police and the coroner's office, Koelpin said.
